Walk Back in Time: Ghosts of Edmonds Past Return on Thursday

Ever want to ask Edmonds founder George Brackett a question? Come to the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery's annual Walk Back in Time when the "ghosts" of Brackett and others return to tell their stories and answer your questions.

The Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board invites you to join them for a day of history, period costumes, and yes, ghosts, at this year's annual Walk Back in Time.

The event will be held at the Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. The ceme­tery is the rest­ing place of many Ed­monds pi­o­neers, may­ors, merchants and citizens. It was placed on  the Wash­ing­ton State Reg­is­ter of His­toric Places in 1972.

This year's event features local actor John Hartquist reprising his role as Edmonds founder George Brackett. During , Hartquist gave an engaging interpretation of the intrepid Edmonds founder.

Holding court at Waterfront Coffee, he regaled visitors with stories and anecdotes from Edmonds history.

Hartquist will be joined by several other actors and actresses in period costume portraying the colorful collection of characters who shaped the history of Edmonds.

The event is free, and refreshments will be served.
