Eagle Eye: Edmonds Puget Sound Bird Fest Kicks Off With Photo Exhibit Aug. 6

Registration for Edmonds' Puget Sound Bird Fest field trips starts Aug. 1.

As a prelude to the September Puget Sound Bird Fest in Edmonds, local Edmonds birdlife will be featured in a photography exhibit in the Edmonds Arts Commission Display Case at the Frances Anderson Center starting Aug. 6.

Participating Edmonds photographers include: Terry Olmsted, Bill Anderson, Craig Smith, Ken Pickle and Michael McAuliffe. The work will be on display through Sept. 14.

The ninth annual Puget Sound Bird Fest, Sept. 6-8, is an annual celebration of birds and nature in Edmonds. The 3-day event includes speakers, guided walks, land and water-based field trips, exhibits, and educational activities for children and adults. The mission is to increase awareness of bird species spending all or part of their lives in the Puget Sound region, especially in the environs of Edmonds.
