The city program is a way to remember loved ones.

There are numerous opportunties in Edmonds for those who would like to contribute to the community in the spirit of giving this holiday season.

There are two City of Edmonds-sponsored Giving Trees. One is at the , 700 Main St., and the other at City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N. The city says you can light a light "for someone you love, something you wish for or in remembrance of a loved one."

In addition, the city's Celebration of Lights program benefits the City of Edmonds' Youth Scholarship Fund that enables Edmonds’ children to participate in Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services programs who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.
