Yuk It Up in Edmonds for a Good Cause

Fifth annual Edmonds Comedy Night is a benefit for Terrace Park School in Mountlake Terrace.

You can laugh for a good cause on Saturday at the fith annual Edmonds Comedy Night benefit for Terrace Park School, an elementary school in Mountlake Terrace that is part of the Edmonds School District.

This year's lineup includes local comedian Brian Boshes, Karen Rontowski (Late Night with David Letterman) and headliner John Keister (Almost Live!). The show's host is Terrace Park parent and national headliner Kermet Apio, who has won local competitions and has appeared on Evening at the Improv and Star Search.

Past years have raised more than $25,000 for Terrace Park School. In cooperation, participating schools in the Edmonds School District receive a share of the ticket price returned to the school from which the ticketholder's children attend.

The proceeds of these benefits have gone toward arts education, the music department, anti-bullying curriculum, and into the general PTA fund to support the school.

Edmonds Comedy Night will be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Tickets are $25, $55 VIP and can be purchased at the ECA Website or by calling 425-275-9595.
