Your Table's Ready: Edmonds Welcomes The Cheesemonger's Table

Strom Peterson's new restaurant is located in Old Milltown. Look for the cows.

"Amazing."

That was the conclusion of Diane Long of Edmonds who, along with friend Elizabeth Griffin of Brier, had the distinction of being the first customers to chow down on the bar table outside The Cheesemonger's Table.

The new sandwich, cheese and charcuterie shop in Edmonds' revitalized Old Milltown was opened Tuesday by owner Strom Peterson, who formerly ran The Resident Cheesemonger on Main Street.

"It's absolutley great," said Peterson, as he fixed a sandwich for a customer. "I get to shift gears and do what I want to do instead of worrying about construction and fixing holes."

The restaurant still offers the same cheeses and meats as The Resident Cheesemonger, but now dishes classic and innovative sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie plates, desserts and fresh salads. There is Jones Soda and beer on tap from Edmonds' . Wine includes sparkling, red and white.
